The ambitious Split week: Milna on Brač, Palmižana off Hvar, Vela Luka, the dark-sky island of Lastovo, Lovište on Pelješac and Stomorska on Šolta. About 125 nautical miles with two longer days.

About 120 to 130 nautical miles for the week; Zaklopatica to Lovište (about 30 nm) and Lovište to Stomorska (about 27 nm) are the long days, the rest are 9 to 18 nm.
YACHT TYPE
Sailing yacht 42 to 50 ft or catamaran 40 to 46 ft; bareboat for an experienced crew, otherwise with a skipper.
Split to Lastovo and back in a week
Split has the largest charter fleet in Croatia, split between ACI Marina Split on the city waterfront and the marinas of Kaštela and Trogir near the airport. This route goes further than the usual Split week: Lastovo is 45 nm from the base and the return runs along Pelješac. It rewards a crew that likes sailing as much as swimming. Legs assume 5 to 6 knots; the maestral from the north-west builds from noon.
Saturday: Split to Milna, Brač | about 10 nm
Across the Split channel to Milna, the deep bay on the west of Brač with ACI Marina Milna, a second marina and a town quay. Stone village, two bakeries, a fuel station. Late check-ins still make it before dark.
Sunday: Milna to Palmižana, Pakleni islands | about 12 nm
South across the Hvar channel to Sveti Klement and ACI Marina Palmižana, sheltered from all winds and the base for the Pakleni coves. Taxi boats to Hvar town every 20 minutes for the fortress, the square and the evening. Book the marina in July and August.
Monday: Palmižana to Vela Luka, Korčula | about 18 nm
South-west to Proizd for the midday swim, then into the long bay to Vela Luka's town quay. Supermarkets, water, fuel: provision here for Lastovo, which has one small shop. The Vela Spila cave is a 20-minute walk above the town.
Tuesday: Vela Luka to Zaklopatica, Lastovo | about 18 nm
South across the Lastovo channel to Zaklopatica, the bay closed by its islet on the north coast; enter by the eastern passage. Restaurant moorings, dinner on the terrace, and the darkest night sky in the Adriatic. Lastovo village is 2 km uphill.
Wednesday: Zaklopatica to Lovište, Pelješac | about 30 nm
The long day. North-east along Korčula's south coast, through the gap at the eastern tip, and across to Lovište, the village in a wide bay at the western end of the Pelješac peninsula. Moorings and a small quay, two konobas, calm water. Leave by 08:00; Korčula town is the fallback 8 nm short of Lovište.
Thursday: Lovište to Stomorska, Šolta | about 27 nm
North-west across the Hvar channel, with a lunch stop in Zavala or Milna bay on Hvar's south coast, to Stomorska on the east of Šolta: quay with lazy lines, moorings, three restaurants. The maestral is on the beam or behind for most of the leg.
Friday: Stomorska to Split | about 9 nm
A morning swim in Nečujam bay, then across the channel to the base for the afternoon check-in and fuel. Evening in Diocletian's Palace and on the Riva.
Variations
To shorten Wednesday, sleep in Korčula town (ACI marina) and go to Lovište or Trstenik on Thursday, ending Friday with 27 nm to Split. In a bura forecast, skip Lastovo and spend Tuesday at Korčula town instead. Bases, fleets and live availability on our Split charter page.
Questions about the Split to Lastovo itinerary
Is this the right first week from Split?
No. For a first charter, take our Hvar, Korčula and Mljet route or the Vis loop, which have shorter days. This one is for a crew that has sailed a week before and wants Lastovo.
Which base is best?
ACI Split for the city and a walk to the old town; Kaštela or Trogir for a shorter airport transfer and a quieter first evening. Distances differ by 2 to 4 nm.
Where are the bookings needed?
Palmižana in July and August. Everywhere else works on arrival before 16:00; Zaklopatica's moorings belong to the restaurants and go with dinner.
